The goal of the club is to continue to build on their recent success and strive to become a more competitive team as well as a respected club organization. 2009-10 MACHA GOLD Division Regular Season Champs - Lost in Tourney Semi-Final to SIUE ACHA Central Regional Qualifier #8 Seed. Won 1st round game 4-3 over RMC-Maroon Lost to GVSU 5-1 in National Tournament Qualifier Game. Funding The Hawks are a non-profit organization funded through player fees and are reliant on the support of area business and the surrounding community. Facilities Currently, the Hawkeyes play home games at the Coral Ridge Ice Arena in the Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville, Iowa which is approximately 2.5 miles from campus. The Hawkeyes also play games at the 3,500 seat Cedar Rapids Ice Arena in Cedar Rapids, IA. and the Quad City Sports Center in Davenport, IA. Academics The University of Iowa is one of the top institutions in the United States, offering over 170 different areas of study and has world renowned research programs in numerous areas of interest. Over 30,000 students attend the University of Iowa and the student body is considered to be friendly and diverse. Campus is located on both sides of the beautiful Iowa River in Iowa City, Iowa and adjacent to historic downtown Iowa City. American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) at the Division II level and is affiliated with the Mid-America Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) at the GOLD & SILVER Levels. Two teams comprise the club, the GOLD (Varsity) & the BLACK (JV). The BLACK Team also is affiliated with the Midwest Collegiate Hockey League (MCHL).
