Hawkeyes Back on the Ice
The University of Iowa hockey team returned to the ice this week as the team's
student-athletes returned to Iowa City with the arrival of the spring semester. The
Hawks were on the ice as a team for the first time in almost a month as they practiced
in preparation for their upcoming games against the Wheaton College Thunder. Iowa
will be looking for a good start to the second half of the season and to rebound from
their losses against McKendree right before semester break. The Hawkeyes enter
this weekend's game with a conference record of 10-1-1 and they sit in second place
behind the undefeated Depaul Blue Demons. The games against Wheaton are on
1/20/06 at 8:10 PM and 1/21/06 at 6:50 PM, both games will be played at the Center
Ice of Dupage.
