Iowa Rides Momentum Into Break
The Iowa Hawkeyes head into Winter Break this week riding a 4 game winning streak
after sweeping Southern Illinios and Wheaton College to launch themselves into third
place in the MACHA Silver. The Hawks dominated the tempo of all four games and
are starting to look like a solid team. Their average margin of victory in the span was
over four goals and the closest either team came to the Hawks was Southern Illinois
who managed to stay within one goal in their first game against Iowa. The next night
however the Hawkeyes dominated the entire game and defeated the Cougars 8-1.
Wheaton College showed up in Iowa City ready to play but they were no match for
the Hawks who played at the top of their game. The Hawkeyes are bringing a lot of
momentum into winter break and hopefully they will be able to carry that momentum
into the second semester of play.
