The University of Iowa Hawkeyes Hockey Program is a
university sanctioned club sport affiliated with the Mid-America
Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) Conference, Gold
Division. MACHA is a member conference of the American
Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) , Division II, Central
Region, and currently the largest ACHA conference.
The ACHA is a collegiate hockey league providing competitive
non-NCAA hockey to universities throughout the United States.

regional and national competition. The MACHA Conference, Gold Division includes teams
from the academic communities of: Eastern Illinois - Illinois State - Missouri State - Northern
Illinois - Robert Morris College/Springfield - Saint Louis University - Southern Illinois
University - University of Iowa - University of Kansas - University of Missouri.
The Hawkeyes are coming off of their first ever Central Regional Ranking. The program will
look to use this momentum to advance the program even further. The Hawkeyes are
coached by Nick White, who has a wealth of hockey coaching experience behind him. The
excitement will continue to build as the roster will be stocked full with former junior players
and AAA ALL-Star caliber recruits. The team is made up of players that come primarily from
the Midwestern region of the United States, although there are players on the roster from
all over the United States and from Canada.
Academically speaking, the University of Iowa is one of the top academic institutions in the
United States. The University offers over 170 different areas of study and has world
renowned research programs in numerous different areas of interest, from agricultural
medicine, to creative writing. Over 30,000 students attend the University of Iowa and the
student body is considered to be both friendly and diverse. The University of Iowa campus
is located on both sides of the beautiful Iowa River in Iowa City, Iowa and adjacent to
historic downtown Iowa City.
All players interested in attending and/or playing for the University of Iowa are encouraged
