CORALVILLE, Iowa – The University of Iowa completed a weekend sweep over Bradley University after a 3-2 win Saturday night at the Coral Ridge Ice Arena.
Zack Lupori scored the game-winner for the Hawkeyes at 11:31 of the third period, assisted by Matt Wilson and Luke Imburgia, snapping a 2-2 tie.
“I feel that our team is only going to be getting better each game,” said Iowa goalie Justin Howard, who picked up the win between the pipes. “I’m looking forward to being a part of this team this year.”
Benjamin Letto scored in the first period (pictured) and then Wilson, assisted by Lupori, added the second Iowa goal in the middle period.
“I absolutely loved being back on the ice,” Hawkeyes forward Blake Brenczewski said. “This weekend was fast-paced and everything I hoped for. Can’t wait for practice and next weekend.”
Next up for the Hawkeyes is another two games home series, taking on the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh next Friday and Saturday. Game times are 7 p.m. Friday and 4:30 p.m. Saturday from Coral Ridge.
